Where Coastal Meets Equestrian: A Stunning New wedding Venue near 30A
About the wedding 10-11-25
Set against the quiet expanse of manicured green pastures and framed by clean white barn architecture, this wedding at South Bay Stables captures a fresh take on the 30A wedding scene—one that trades beachfront tradition for something more grounded, private, and visually striking. Tucked within the natural landscape of Santa Rosa Beach, venues like this echo the charm of working ranch properties in the area, where open acreage, grazing land, and proximity to the Gulf create a setting that feels both expansive and intimate. North Florida is a truly special place, where some of the country’s most striking emerald waters meet rolling rural landscapes and open stretches of land. This new venue beautifully captures that contrast, highlighting the unique charm and natural beauty that make the Florida Panhandle so unforgettable.
From above, the ceremony unfolds with a sense of scale that’s hard to replicate—clean architectural lines, structured fencing, and thoughtfully placed lounge groupings create a layout that feels relaxing without being over-designed. The stark white exterior of the stables reflects the sunlight in a way that keeps everything feeling bright and editorial, while the surrounding pines and winding paths soften the space, giving it depth and dimension. It’s the kind of venue that doesn’t compete with the moment—it frames it.
What makes South Bay Stables especially noteworthy is how it introduces a new direction for weddings along 30A. While the area is widely known for its iconic beaches and waterfront celebrations, this space offers an alternative—one that leans into land and atmosphere. It’s ideal for couples who want something unexpected but still deeply rooted in the natural beauty of Santa Rosa Beach.
This wedding feels like a glimpse into what’s next—where open-air venues, equestrian aesthetics, and thoughtfully curated layouts redefine what a destination wedding on 30A can look like. We’re looking forward to seeing how 30A brides bring their own vision to life within this beautiful new space.
Hannah: “My dress and veil were by Danielle Frankel, and I found them at The Dress Theory. I loved how modern but effortless the dress felt. It was structured and architectural, but still relaxed and true to me. The veil was softly crinkled, almost echoing the pleating of the dress, which made everything feel cohesive without being overly traditional. My shoes were by O and had a mother of pearl detail across the top. It felt like a subtle nod to being on the water and tied in beautifully with the natural elements of the day.
My jewelry was very sentimental. I wore a pearl necklace that my mother in law gave me for my 28th birthday, which felt especially meaningful to wear as I officially joined their family. My earrings were Ethiopian opals set in gold and diamonds that I found at a small jewelry store on a mother daughter trip to Highlands, North Carolina right before my bachelorette. Wearing them felt like carrying that memory with me down the aisle.
I changed into a fun seashell dress from Retrofete, and sparkly Staud flats for dancing
Jody wore a white dinner jacket with black pants and black Tecovas boots. His one request was to wear cowboy boots with his tux so he could actually dance, which felt very him. It ended up being the perfect mix of classic and a little Western, and he definitely made good on the dancing promise.”
The Brides Full Look
Details we love
Intentional Furniture Design: This lounge vignette leans into a distinctly French Riviera–inspired meets vintage aesthetic, with standout elements rooted in rattan and bentwood design. The statement armchair features a barrel-back silhouette with woven cane paneling, a style often referred to as a cane club chair or Art Deco–inspired rattan armchair, known for its soft curves and architectural framing. Paired with a channel-cushioned seat and a scalloped or clover-shaped ottoman, the look feels playful yet design-forward—pulling from 1970s Italian and Mediterranean influences where organic shapes and natural materials take center stage.
Sourced from Distressed Rentals, this furniture moment proves that thoughtfully curated lounge pieces can completely transform a reception space into something editorial, intimate, and undeniably stylish.
Tell us about your big day!:
Hannah: “The entire weekend felt like one long highlight reel. From the family and friends pickleball tournament to the rehearsal dinner at Bud & Alleys to the wedding day itself, every event had its own energy and personality. It truly felt like a full celebration, not just a single day.
We were really inspired by the natural colors and textures of the beach itself. We didn’t want anything that felt overly themed or overly styled. The goal was for the wedding to feel like an extension of the environment, almost like it had organically grown out of the setting.
Our palette pulled from what already exists there. Soft sand tones, muted greens, warm neutrals, and the blues of the water and sky. Everything leaned organic and a little whimsical, with movement and texture instead of anything too structured or formal, it had to feel laid back and relaxed. Exactly how it feels down there.
We were on the dance floor almost the entire night. The energy was unreal. At one point we got up on stage with the band a few times, and it felt like the whole room was just fully in it with us.
We had the most unbelievable weather the entire weekend, which I am still crediting to the Etsy witch I paid $12. Worth every penny.
I am so grateful we went all in and had the big, fun wedding. Having everyone we love in one place, fully present and celebrating with us, is something I will never take for granted. The dance floor was packed, the laughter was loud, and the whole weekend just felt joyful.
And honestly, none of it would have happened without our incredible wedding planner, Renee, and our parents. They made it all possible and supported us every step of the way. We felt so loved and so taken care of, and that is what made the whole weekend unforgettable.”
Fun fact about the couple:
Hannah: “We were set up by mutual friends when I moved back to Nashville. He immediately tried to take me out and even offered to help me move, which in hindsight feels very on brand for him. Unfortunately, I was seeing someone at the time, so the timing was off. He likes to remind people that he patiently “waited around” for me. About six months later, after that relationship ended, I texted him and asked if he still wanted to grab a drink. He insists this means I asked him out first. His response was, “How’s Wednesday at 7:30 at Bourbon Steak?” Confident. Specific. No small talk. It was July, right at sunset, and we met at the bar at Bourbon Steak. It was one of those perfect warm Nashville summer evenings, and we ended up talking for hours. No awkward pauses, no checking our phones, just easy conversation from the start. We’ve basically been together ever since.”
